ACT Corrections has partnered with Fortem Australia to provide an organisational resilience and wellbeing program for their staff.

Who is Fortem Australia?

For the past three years we have built a reputation for providing accessible programs that support the mental health and wellbeing of first responders and their families. Our wellness framework promotes:

      • Connection with family/friends

      • Building trust and resilience

      • Enhancing mental health literacy

      • Managing workplace stresses

      • Making time for a work/life balance

    Discovery Phase

The most important part of this program is to make sure that it fits with what you need and want. So first, we would like to hear from you. There will be several ways to contribute your thoughts/ideas:

        • Initial survey – January

        • Survey link – sent to all staff

        • AMC Family Day – Fortem staff will be in attendance to give you a taste-test of our activities program. You can also complete a survey in person or just have a chat with us

        • AMC Coffee Cart – Fortem staff will attend the Wednesday morning coffee cart to chat and provide opportunities to complete a survey

        • Focus groups – February

        • Opportunities for individuals to attend a focus group either in person or online to further understand the needs of the corrections community

We look forward to hearing from you and building a program that supports the mental health and wellbeing for your community.

This pilot program has been generously funded by ACT Corrective Services
