Aboriginal Heritage Walk | Melbourne & Gippsland

Womin Djeka! Join us on this unique walking experience amongst spectacular gardens and discover the rich history and thriving culture of the First Peoples of Australia. Led by an Aboriginal guide, this gentle and easy paced 1 .5 hour guided walk begins with a smoking ceremony as part of the Welcome to Country. Hear about Aboriginal stories and customs whilst you are immersed in the beautiful gardens and discover local Indigenous culture, significant native plants and their use, and ongoing connection to country.
This free wellbeing activity is for first responder families (check out Who We Serve here). Register individually, or with up to one other adult and three children from your family or inner circle. (minimum age 13). Encourage a first responder colleague to register too. Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear for walking. Please bring your water bottle so you can stay hydrated along the walk.
