Womin Djeka! First responder families, join us on this unique walking experience in a beautiful botanical garden during the school holidays and discover the rich history and thriving culture of the First Peoples of Australia. This gentle and easy paced 1 ½ hour walk into the gardens with an Aboriginal guide, is a significant cultural site for the local Kulin Nation. Gain insight into the rich history and thriving culture of the First Peoples of Australia through a journey of identifying significant native plants within the Gardens. Learn about Aboriginal plant uses, customs and ongoing connection to country.
This free wellbeing activity is for first responder families (check out Who We Serve here). Register individually, or with up to one other adult and up to two children from your family or inner circle. Encourage a first responder colleague to register too.
This is an outdoor activity aimed at first responders and their families (minimum age 13 years). Participants should wear appropriate clothing for weather conditions and footwear. Please bring your water bottle so you can stay hydrated along the walk.
