Gift Wrapping Drive | Canberra

December 4 @ 9:00 am - December 19 @ 5:00 pm

First responder families, join Kids In Care for their annual Gift Wrapping Drive through December. The charity drive was started by ACT Policing’s Detective Sergeant John Giles after he and his team attended an incident in December 2013.
“These children had the clothes on their backs and very little else. One of the children, a little girl who was around 4 years old, offered to show me her Christmas tree, which she said was beautiful,” Detective Sergeant Giles said.
“I was mortified by what I saw, and I knew I had to do something, and that something was Kids in Care .”

Gift Wrapping Shifts are 2  hours each, and are running at various times on:
• Sat 4th Dec
• Sunday 5th Dec
• Sat 11th Dec
• Sun 12th
• Sat 18th Dec
• Sun 19th Dec

This free wellbeing activity is for first responder families (check out Who We Serve here). Register individually, or with up to one other adult (your partner, family member or someone from your inner circle). Encourage a first responder colleague to register too.
