First Responder Families, kick off your shoes and celebrate the International Day of Families barefoot “on the green” learning the art of lawn bowls! Fortem considers family to be anyone you share a fridge with – it might be your husband or wife and your kids. Maybe you live with your parents or maybe it’s your flatmate who’s your sounding board. They’re all welcome to come along for a roll up and there is a playground right next to the greens to help keep even the littlest family members happy. It’s a great opportunity to unwind, learn a new skill and meet other first responder families. Your equipment hire, basic tuition, 2 hours of bowls and nibblies will all be provided. It will be a relaxing afternoon to enjoy with your nearest and dearest with a little healthy competition thrown in.
This free wellbeing activity is for first responder families (check out Who We Serve here). Register individually, or with up to one other adult and up to two children from your family or inner circle. Encourage a first responder colleague to register too.
Fortem is an official partner of The Royal Melbourne Hospital’s 5 Ways to Wellbeing – connect, be active, keep learning, be present, and help others. The 5 Ways are integrated into all our activities, events, and programs to highlight the benefits of incorporating simple lifestyle changes to your day-to-day.
Please register your interest in attending this activity by submitting the registration form. Note, registration is not complete until you receive confirmation by email from the Fortem team.
