Spend the day getting creative with Fortem Australia, in these beautiful hands-on crafts, Macrame Key Chain and Basket Weaving. Attend one or both workshops!
During the morning session (9.30am – 11.30am) you’ll learn the relaxing craft form of Macrame as we hand knot decorative pieces including a rainbow key charm, a feather key charm and wristlet (these may change depending on supply of materials).
Bring more natural materials into your home by joining the afternoon session (12noon – 2.30pm) of basket weaving and learning the art of creating raffia pieces. In this workshop you’ll learn the relaxing craft form of Coil Basket Weaving, and create a small bowl.
This free wellbeing activity is for first responder families (check out who we serve here). Register yourself, and up to one other adult and up to two children (your partner, children, family members, or someone from your inner circle). Encourage a first responder colleague to register too, or make connections on the day.
All Fortem Wellbeing Activities are underpinned by the 5 Ways to Wellbeing — a set of practical lifestyle habits which contribute to our overall mental fitness. This model by our partners at The Royal Melbourne Hospital is based on widely researched, effective strategies for improving mental health and wellbeing, and forms the foundation of all Fortem Australia events, programs, and activities.
Please register your interest in attending this activity by clicking on the Registration Form button below. Note, registration is not complete until you receive confirmation by email from the Fortem team.
