An event every 2 weeks that begins at 10:00 am on Wednesday, happening 4 times

First responder families, join us for a fun and engaging dance classes for toddlers to get them dancing during lock down! These virtual dance classes are aimed at 3-5 year olds who want to dance. Based on funky pop, hip hop music and dance, these 30 minute classes will be led by an experienced dance teacher and will involve interaction and game play. Each class will focus on a different theme to encourage children to incorporate various items and movements into each dance class, so they get the most out of the experience and have an opportunity to interact with others too.

These classes will run over 4 fortnights. Kids can attend 1 class or all 4, please tick which ones you would like to attend in the registration form (class descriptions below).

Wednesday 27 October: Teddy Bears’ picnic. Bring your favourite teddy bear and get them dancing along with you.

Wednesday 10 November: Nursery rhymes. Find the rhythm in your rhymes!

Wednesday 24 November: Frozen. Dress up as your favourite character from Frozen!

Wednesday 8 December: A combination of funky pop hip hop music and dance, with ‘bop til you drop’ activities intertwined. This is the most active out of the dance classes.

These classes are suitable for all dancing abilities. All kids need is some space to move and dance, a computer connection, and they’re good to go. It’s recommended that a parent / carer is nearby during the class, to help kids navigate the computer or get the required items during the activity. You might even find yourself dancing along too!

This free wellbeing activity is for first responder families (check out Who We Serve here). Register for one child, or with up to three other children from your family or inner circle. Encourage a first responder colleague to register their little one, too.

This model by our partners at The Royal Melbourne Hospital is based on widely researched, effective strategies for improving mental health and wellbeing, and forms the foundation of all Fortem Australia events, programs, and activities.
