First responder families, enjoy a leisurely walk around a tranquil lake and meet other first responders from nearby agencies. This monthly walk is approximately 30 minutes long along a flat trail with refreshments provided afterwards. It’s an opportunity to take a break, be active, get in touch with nature, and connect with other first responders. Two walks are available at the below times, suitable for most levels of fitness. Please wear appropriate walking shoes, be sun smart, and bring a water bottle.
This free wellbeing activity is for first responder families (check out Who We Serve here). Register individually, or with up to one other adult (your partner, family member or someone from your inner circle). Encourage a first responder colleague to register too.
All Fortem Wellbeing Activities are underpinned by the 5 Ways to Wellbeing – a set of practical lifestyle habits which contribute to our overall mental fitness. This model by our partners at The Royal Melbourne Hospital is based on widely researched, effective strategies for improving mental health and wellbeing, and forms the foundation of all Fortem Australia events, programs, and activities.
