Meditation can be a perfect short escape from the modern stresses of life. Sound meditation includes the harmonic sounds and vibrations produced by singing bowls, chimes, drums and other sound bathing equipment which resonate throughout this session providing a deep meditative state, where rest and relaxation help to restore balance and calm throughout the body. This session starts with breath meditation and gentle stretching and is followed by a deeply relaxing 45 minutes of sound, music and vibration.
This free wellbeing activity is for first responder families (check out who we serve here). Encourage a first responder colleague to register too, or make connections on the day.
All Fortem Wellbeing Activities are underpinned by the 5 Ways to Wellbeing — a set of practical lifestyle habits which contribute to our overall mental fitness. This model by our partners at The Royal Melbourne Hospital is based on widely researched, effective strategies for improving mental health and wellbeing, and forms the foundation of all Fortem Australia events, programs, and activities.
