Try Taiko Drumming | Bega Valley
July 23 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pmFree
First responder families, come and experience the art of Taiko drumming! Taiko is a traditional Japanese musical practice that balances external power with inner calm to energise the body, mind and spirit. In Taiko practice, hitting big drums loudly with all your might isn’t just allowed, it’s compulsory! This workshop suits anyone aged from 10 to 80 years old and is a great way to learn a new skill, move your body and make new friends.
This free wellbeing activity is for first responder families (check out who we serve here). Register yourself, and up to one other adult and up to two children (your partner, children, family members, or someone from your inner circle). Encourage a first responder colleague to register too, or make connections on the day.
All Fortem Wellbeing Activities are underpinned by the 5 Ways to Wellbeing – a set of practical lifestyle habits which contribute to our overall mental fitness. This model by our partners at The Royal Melbourne Hospital is based on widely researched, effective strategies for improving mental health and wellbeing, and forms the foundation of all Fortem Australia events, programs, and activities.
Please register your interest in attending this activity by clicking on the Registration Form button below. Note, registration is not complete until you receive confirmation by email from the Fortem team.
