Weekly cuppa, craft & chat | West Gippsland
24/11/2021 @ 1:00 pm - 2:45 pm
An event every week that begins at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, repeating until 09/12/2021

First responder families, join us at a local café for a cuppa and chat. Feel free to bring along your own small craft activity to work on as we catch up. Some of us colour, while others patchwork or knit. You can draw, make a card, or whatever is your activity of choice (that leaves plenty of space for cups of tea and coffee!). Some weeks we include a topic to discuss to encourage connection. If you can’t attend every week due to rosters, call outs and family commitments, that’s okay. You only need to register for the first time you come. The purpose of this group is to socially connect with other first responders and first responder families/ kinship groups.
This activity is free for first responder families (Check out Who We Serve here. Suitable for first responders to join with a partner, friend or member of their kinship group. Young children are welcome. Fortem is currently monitoring COVID guidelines closely and may reschedule this event and notify participants accordingly.
Fortem is an official partner of The Royal Melbourne Hospital’s 5 Ways to Wellbeing – connect, be active, keep learning, be mindful, and help others. These strategies are integrated into all our activities, events, and programs to highlight the benefits of incorporating simple lifestyle changes to your day to day.
Whilst you do not have to RSVP prior to attending this activity, registration is required by either completing the form prior to the event (see online form below) or completing it on the day. For information on the location of the activity, please email activities @fortemaustralia.org.au
