Weekly Fitness Training | Gippsland
October 28 @ 7:15 pm - 8:00 pm AEDT
An event every week that begins at 7:15 pm on Thursday, repeating until 10/12/2021
West Gippsland first responder families, are you ready to get physically and mentally fit? Join us for a weekly 45 minute fitness session. These sessions will vary from week to week with a combination of cardio, strength, endurance, boxing, self defence and other fitness activities. The fitness instructors are passionate about giving you a great workout while paying particular attention to the correct technique. All these fitness activities are suitable for all levels of fitness and experience and can be adapted to cater for individual needs.
This free wellbeing activity is for first responder families (check out Who We Serve here). Register individually, or with up to one other adult (your partner, family member or someone from your inner circle – minimum age 16). Encourage a first responder colleague to register too. While the goal is for participants to commit to these weekly fitness sessions to gain maximum benefit, there is flexibility for shift workers and on-call volunteers. You will need to bring a towel, water bottle and have closed in shoes and exercise clothes.
Fortem is an official partner of The Royal Melbourne Hospital’s 5 Ways to Wellbeing – connect, be active, keep learning, be mindful, and help others. These strategies are integrated into all our activities, events, and programs to highlight the benefits of incorporating simple lifestyle changes to your day to day.
Register your interest to attend by submitting the form below. This is a small group activity with limited numbers. Note, registration is not complete until you receive a confirmation email from the Fortem activities team.
