These VIRTUAL yoga classes will run for 2 months, not including the June 13th Queen’s Birthday public holiday and has been designed for first responders and families to encourage an uplifted and calm feeling in the body and in the mind. You can attend 1 class or all 5, just register for the weeks you would like to attend. The Yoga class is open to all fitness and flexibility levels, and children are more than welcome to join in. The focus of the class is to move mindfully with your breath, stretch the muscles, improve joint range of movement and to calm the nervous system. The experienced yoga instructor will support participants in learning yoga postures that are simple, slow and designed to flow at a pace that is easy to follow. An instructor from Frontline Yoga will be taking the class. Frontline Yoga offers best practice guidance on the delivery of Yoga to First Responders, Emergency Services and Military Veteran communities.
This free wellbeing activity is for first responder families (check out Who We Serve here). Register individually, or with up to one other adult and up to two children from your family or inner circle. Encourage a first responder colleague to register too.
