First responder families, let’s celebrate International Family Day on 15th May surrounded by family, nature, and some furry friends! We will visit a local sanctuary, for both animals and humans, grown over the years by a team of passionate people and some very special ambassadors. Join us for a guided tour of the wildlife park and learn more about the native animals that call the Bega Valley home! We might just be lucky enough to see a koala, feed a kangaroo, touch a snake or spot a rare long-nosed potoroo! It will be a great opportunity for first responder families to connect, enjoy a free BBQ lunch and relax in the beautiful natural surrounds.
It’s a great way to spend time with your family or kinship group, be active, learn about the animals and the sanctuary, and develop close family bonds. It’s also great to connect and socialise with other local first responder families. Developing close relationships and socialising with friends, family and others, is important to build your mental fitness and boost your wellbeing.
This free wellbeing activity is for first responder families. Suitable for all ages. Fortem is currently monitoring COVID guidelines closely and may reschedule this event and notify participants accordingly.
