First responder families from the Newcastle and Hunter Valley regions, we’re going to the zoo! Come and spend the day exploring the zoo, meeting the animals, connecting with other first responder families, and making time to spend with your own family. Developing close relationships and socialising with friends, family and others, is important for good health and wellbeing. Broadening your social networks and range of relationships with others in the wider community, is also important for your wellbeing. It’s also a great way to learn more about Fortem Australia and what activities and services we provide.

This activity is free for first responder families (check eligibility). There will be small activities packs sent out in advance for extra fun for kids during the car ride, as well as “spot the animal” games for the kids whilst they are in the zoo. Fortem has private BBQ facilities reserved at the zoo, so we will host a sausage sizzle lunch to bring families together to connect and meet other families. Vegetarian options will be available for the sausage sizzle lunch. Food can also be purchased at the venue. Fortem is currently monitoring COVID guidelines closely and may reschedule this event and notify participants accordingly.

Please submit your interest to attend this activity using the form below. Note, registration is not complete until you receive a confirmation email from the Fortem activities team.
