Join us for a 1 hour online cooking class where you can learn how to make simple but delicious Makaronia me Kima, which is Greek spaghetti bolognese. It’s a great way to build meaningful social connections with your family, plus interact and socialise, virtually, with other first responder families. Having a shared experience in learning a new skill or developing an existing skill can have a positive effect on wellbeing and help build your mental fitness. Broadening your social networks and range of relationships with others in the wider community is also important for your wellbeing.
This online cooking class will be delivered by Zoom meeting, so you will need a reliable internet connection and a device, such as your smartphone, tablet or laptop, capable of supporting Zoom video conferencing.
Please note, ingredients will be NOT be provided for this activity. No ingredients will be delivered or posted for this class. You will be sent a recipe in advance, and participants must provide the ingredients for the class themselves.
This free wellbeing activity is for first responder families (eligibility here). Suitable for children, recommended minimum age 12 years. Suitable to all levels of culinary expertise.
