Are you interested in joining us for a series of Italian Conversation and Culture Online Classes? We are calling for expressions of interest from first responder families! Come on a virtual Italian journey with us, as you are given an introduction on the learning of a foreign language, travelling to Italy, Italian culture and current affairs, food and wine, arts and fashion, and how Italians celebrate Christmas and New Years Eve.
Developing friendships is one of the highest positive correlations with self-rated happiness. In this activity people will have an opportunity to develop friendships with others who share the common interest of learning the language and culture of Italy. The most significant difference between those with mental ill health and those without is social participation. Adult learning has been correlated with positive effects on well-being, reports of life satisfaction, optimism and efficacy, and learning a new language as an adult, you can ward off the potential of cognitive decline.
Participants must be available for all classes on Friday Nov 13th, 20th, 27th and Dec 4th, 11th and 18th.
This activity is free for first responders (eligibility here). The classes are suitable for adults and children 16 years and over. You will need a reliable internet connection with a device capable of supporting Zoom video conferencing. You will be sent a link when your registration is confirmed.
Submit your expression of interest by Friday 6th November.
This is a small group activity with limited numbers. Submit the Registration Form below to express your interest in participating in this activity. Note registration is not confirmed until Fortem sends a confirmation email.
