Come along, join in and have some fun playing Oztag this Summer. It will be a mixed senior team, no experience needed, only attendance and your competitive spirit! Where hoping to get between 17 – 19 players registered for the competition as you need 8 on the field (4 male and a minimum of 4 female players on the field). This also allows for people who work shifts or can’t make a game we have enough reserves to fill the spots, so no pressure if you are unable to make a game. Games are usually played over 40 minutes, two twenty minute halves. Times may be varied to suit age groups and conditions
Registrations will need to be in by 22 July 2021 as there are limited spaces within this competition round. The comp will commence on Thursday 7 October 2021. The competition is played on Thursday nights, and game times are usually played at 6.10pm, 6.55pm, and 7.40pm, however, times may vary due to team numbers. The season runs for 12 weeks with a 2 week final series plus an allowance for 2 washed rounds to be replayed, will possibly go until late February.
Players must be 15 to register in the senior competition. If they turn 15 during the season, they may register BUT not play until they are actually 15. This is an insurance requirement and is a directive of Australian Oztag.
Please note games are not played during the Christmas School Holidays.
What’s included: Registration costs including shirt and shorts/ tights, please note only official Oztag shorts/tights may be worn, league tag shorts are not permitted.
Team sport is a great way to socially connect with your peers on a regular basis outside of work, it has physical benefits and is proven to be de-stressor. The social aspect that comes with being part of a team is fantastic for your well-being. Even if you join our team not knowing a soul, sport has a funny way of fast-tracking friendships.
