Kids Art Workshop – Empathy Monster | Gold Coast
First responder families, join us for an exciting school holiday program where children will learn mindfulness and art. The project will be ‘Empathy Monsters’ where children will make a monster/doll, and are taught to talk to their empathy monster with encouraging and positive words, which in turns helps their own inner voice be more positive and encouraging. This wellbeing activity is also a great way to connect with local first responder families whilst your children spend time on their art project, as well as develop bonds with your own family as you encourage your kids to learn and be creative. An excellent way to gain the benefits of learning a new skill, this wellbeing activity also provides an opportunity for physical and mental stimulation which promotes self-esteem and contributes to self-identity. Art and craft can be mindful activities, allowing you to be ‘in the moment’ while creating your project and achieving a sense of accomplishment.
There is also another art/ craft class on 29th June – Make A Glitter Meditation Jar
This free wellbeing activity is for first responder families. Suitable for children aged 3 and over. Parents do not need to supervise their children but are welcome to if they wish.
