First responder families, join us for an exciting wellbeing activity where the kids get to decorate cupcakes… and eat them! The kids will be able to decorate six plain vanilla/butter cupcakes supplied by a local bakery. What makes a cupcake special is the decoration, so you will be able to use your imagination and personally theme your cupcakes. We will provide the cupcakes, icing, decorations, child-suitable equipment, an apron and a chef’s hat for you to decorate, as well as a gift box to take your creations home.
It’s a great way to keep the kids entertained these school holidays, as well as an opportunity for families to develop bonds, and connect with other first responder families, contributing to the development of close family relationships and help building social connections. Learning new skills and working on a crafting project can help improve self-esteem and contribute to self-identity through mental and physical stimulation.
We will be holding two workshops either 10am to 12pm OR 1pm to 3pm (please select your preferred session in the registration form).
This free wellbeing activity is for first responder families (check eligibility here). Suitable for all ages, though children under the age of 6 may need assistance from a parent/ carer. Fortem is currently monitoring COVID guidelines closely and may reschedule this event and notify participants accordingly.
This is a small group activity with limited places available, so please register your interest in attending this activity using the form below. Note, registration is not complete until you receive confirmation by email from the Fortem team.
