The Little Adventurer visits the Botanic Garden | Illawarra
‘Little Adventurer’s’ let’s explore the Botanic Garden on a magical leaf hunt! Let us look closely at our plants and see how many leaf shapes we can match and find on our journey through the gardens. The Little Adventurer is a monthly group that has amazing adventures around the local area together. In May, join us to visit the botanic garden! It’s an activity for families with kids aged 0 to 6 years old, with two fun and educational sessions including a magic leaf hunt and growing plants from seeds. After the first session, we will stop for a picnic and play in the park, then off to our final activity.
It is a great opportunity for first responder families to get out and explore the local area, be active and make connections with their own, as well as other families, contributing to the development of close family relationships and help building social connections. Walking is a means of improving and maintaining physical health, improving sleep patterns and relieving stress for your mental health. Nature is the perfect classroom. It provides endless opportunities for students and children to learn about the real world in meaningful ways.
This activity is free for first responder families. Aimed at children aged 0 to 6. Morning tea is included. Fortem is currently monitoring COVID guidelines closely and may reschedule this event and notify participants accordingly.
This is a small group activity with limited places available, so please submit your interest to attend this activity using the form below. Note, registration is not complete until you receive confirmation by email from the Fortem team.
