Get your taste buds fired up with this Low ‘n Slow BBQ cooking class with a multi-award winning pitmaster. An amazing opportunity for first responder families in the Canberra area to master beef brisket, pork ribs & reverse seared scotch fillet steaks. During the two hour activity, you will learn the fundamentals of low n slow barbecue and grilling, covering basic techniques to ensure great barbecue every time. It is a chance to grill the expert with all your questions during the Q&A session.
A great way to build meaningful social connections with your partner, family, or kinship group as well as to engage with other first responder families. Group cooking programs have been associated with a positive influence on a range of psychosocial factors including self-esteem, social interaction, quality of life, psychological wellbeing and reduction in anxiety.
This free activity is for first responder families, find out Who We Support. Suitable for first responders registering individually, or with an additional adult or teen. Fortem is currently monitoring COVID guidelines closely and may reschedule this event and notify participants accordingly.
