Introduction to Macrame Workshops  | Illawarra

Illawarra area first responder families are invited to a series of workshops to learn about macrame in the school holidays! Each week participants will learn how to make a different piece of macrame.  Macrame pieces will include 2 styles of plant hangers, halo wall hanger, a set of 4 placemats. It’s a great activity to do with your kids plus you can connect with other local first responder families. Learning a new craft skill is great for your wellbeing, and crafting can be a mindful activity, allowing you to be ‘in the moment’ while creating your project and achieving a sense of accomplishment.

The classes are available on 22nd Dec, 5th Jan, 12th Jan and 19th Jan. Please select in the Registration Form which class or classes you would like to attend. You do not need to attend all the classes. You are not required to have attended the first class to then attend any others (the essential skills will be covered each time!)

This activity is free for first responder families. Children aged 8 and above can be registered as part of a family. Tuition and all materials will be provided, plus morning tea. Fortem is currently monitoring COVID guidelines closely and may reschedule this event and notify participants accordingly.
