Macramé Workshop | Canberra
First responder families, join us for a workshop on the art of macramé! Macramé is a textile created using knotting techniques. You will be provided with the basic materials, and can take your piece home to display or gift after the 2 hour workshop!
This Fortem activity can help improve self-esteem and contribution to self-identity through mental and physical stimulation provided by working on crafting project. Crafting can be a mindful activity, allowing you to be ‘in the moment’. It’s a great way to spend time with your family or support network, challenge yourself and develop close bonds. It’s also a great way to build meaningful social connections by engaging with other first responders families. Having a shared experience in learning a new skill can give you a sense of achievement, build confidence and be fun!
