Enjoy a relaxing afternoon at this ‘mini retreat’ where you will learn a range of simple, everyday mindfulness techniques that will help you to de-stress and reconnect with a calmer, more present way of life. This afternoon will be a great way to catch up with other first responder families, whilst gaining practical tools for everyday stress management, relaxation and self care. Guided by an experienced teacher, this program will help you to understand how you can make the many benefits of mindfulness work for you. Afternoon tea will be provided. Mindfulness and stress management techniques have been shown to positively impact wellbeing, lifting mood, lessening anxiety, facilitating better sleep. Learning these simple everyday techniques in a social setting provides opportunities to connect with others first responders who may face similar challenges.
This free wellbeing activity is for first responder families (eligibility here) suitable for adults only. Fortem is currently monitoring COVID guidelines closely and may reschedule this event and notify participants accordingly.
This is a small group activity with limited numbers. Note, registration is not confirmed until Fortem sends a confirmation email. Restrictions apply in line with current COVID regulations.
