Learn About Native Plants – Nature Play Session for Kids 2 to 6 I Sydney Region
First responder families, join us for a Nature Play session for Toddlers & Preschoolers in a magical bush setting in the North Sydney region. Parents and their little ones can enjoy a fun morning of play-based discovery in nature, led by an experienced Environmental Education Ranger. We will be going on a bushwalk to discover the Aboriginal uses of natives plants, create some art using natural paints and have a tasting of a special native treat. Finish up with a group lunch in a beautiful bush setting.
It is a great opportunity for first responder families to get out and explore the local area, be active and make connections with their own, as well as other families, contributing to the development of close family relationships and help building social connections. Walking is a means of improving and maintaining physical health, improving sleep patterns and relieving stress for your mental health. Nature is the perfect classroom. It provides endless opportunities for students and children to learn about the real world in meaningful ways.
