Thank A First Responder Day Paint Your Partner Workshop | Port Macquarie
First responder families, join us for an art workshop with a difference, to celebrate Thank a First Responder Day. Bring your partner, family member or first responder colleague. You’ll have all the necessary equipment provided, including a 16′ x 20′ blank canvas, acrylic paints, brushes, table easel and an apron. All sessions include guidance from one of our artists to assist you in releasing your inner Picasso.
A great way to connect with local first responder families whilst you create art, as well as develop bonds with your own family. An excellent way to gain the benefits of learning a new skill, this wellbeing activity also provides an opportunity for physical and mental stimulation which promotes self-esteem and contributes to self-identity. Being artistic can be a mindful activity, allowing you to be ‘in the moment’ while creating your artwork and achieving a sense of accomplishment.
This free wellbeing activity is for first responder families (eligibility here). Suitable for all skill levels. Children must be 12 years and over.
This is a small group activity with limited places available, so please register your interest in attending this activity using the form below. Note, registration is not complete until you receive confirmation by email from the Fortem team.
