Picnic at the Nature Reserve Playground | Canberra Region

Join us for a picnic at the nature reserve playground! Enjoy a laid back afternoon of connecting with other first responder families and a delicious afternoon tea. Older kids will love the flying fox, slide and climbing rope frame. For the younger kids, there’s a water pump, bouncy toys and other fun activities. Parents can watch on, usually along with some Eastern Grey Kangaroos, while children play and explore in a safe and interactive environment. A bird’s nest swing is suitable for very young children and people with limited mobility.

It’s a great way to spend time with your family or kinship group, be active in nature, and develop close family bonds. It’s also great to connect and socialise with other local first responder families. Developing close relationships and socialising with friends, family and others, is important to build your mental fitness and boost your wellbeing.
