Join us for a workshop in a beautiful country location, where you will be guided by an experienced artist in how to use simple pinch pot techniques to make your very own tea bowl. Decorate your clay bowl with patterns from natural material found in the garden. After the workshop, all the clay pots will be dried and fired, with participants to arrange collection.
A great way to connect with local first responder families whilst you craft, as well as develop bonds with your own family. An excellent way to gain the benefits of learning a new skill, this wellbeing activity also provides an opportunity for physical and mental stimulation which promotes self-esteem and contributes to self-identity. Crafting can be a mindful activity, allowing you to be ‘in the moment’ while creating your project and achieving a sense of accomplishment.
This free wellbeing activity is for first responder families (eligibility here). Suitable for all skill levels. Children must be 12 years and over.
This is a small group activity with limited places available, so please register your interest in attending this activity using the form below. Note, registration is not complete until you receive confirmation by email from the Fortem team.
