First responder families, come along to a FREE educational and exciting evening at the reptile zoo, meeting the critters, connecting with other first responder families, and making time to spend with your own family. Take part in a safe, interactive educational program where you will have the opportunity to learn about all of the various reptiles at the zoo. The group will then enjoy a BBQ dinner, before going on a special tour of the zoo to meet the reptiles and their keepers. The zoo keepers will have their animals out of the enclosures for participants to touch and hold for a hands on, behind the scenes zoo experience. This is a great opportunity to gain the benefits that come from learning, but also a chance to connect and develop close relationships with friends, family and others, which is important for good health and wellbeing.
This free wellbeing activity is for first responder families (check eligibility). BBQ dinner will be provided – vegetarian options available. Fortem is currently monitoring COVID guidelines closely and may reschedule this event and notify participants accordingly.
