Resin Jewellery Making Workshop | Illawarra
Join us for a resin jewellery making workshop for first responder families from the Illawarra area. Learn how to create your very own resin jewellery such as earrings and rings, including Christmas designs. Make something for yourself and for a friend. Learn how to colour, mix, and pour resin to create your own boutique pieces in a 2.5hr class. Light refreshments included.
Note: This workshop is not recommended to pregnant women or people with respiratory issues as chemicals in the form of resins are used.
This Fortem activity can help improve self-esteem and contribution to self-identity through mental and physical stimulation provided by working on crafting project. Crafting can be a mindful activity, allowing you to be ‘in the moment’ while creating your project and achieving a sense of accomplishment. Crafting can help reduce anxiety, improve mood, and increase happiness, all of which can help fight depression.
This activity is free for first responders (eligibility here). The classes are suitable for adults and children 16 years and over. Tuition, all materials and light refreshments provided. Fortem is currently monitoring COVID guidelines closely and may reschedule this event and notify participants accordingly.
