Sausage Making Class | Bega Valley
Not all sausages are created equal. Learn the art of making the humble sausage from the butcher who taught one of TV’s most popular paddock-to-plate presenters everything he knows about meat. You’ll be shown how to make sausages from start to finish in this hands-on class. Learn the right way to prepare the meat, blend the recipes and use your sausage casings carefully and successfully. You will take home the sausages you have made throughout the workshop, and sample the flavours as you go. No previous experience necessary.
The adult brain is capable of rewiring itself. Challenging our minds with new skills, approaches, and information can improve our knowledge and thinking skills, increasing confidence, sense of purpose, and ability to cope with stress. This also is a great way to strengthen family / kinship group bonds, as well as to broaden your social network through connection with other first responder families. Connection is an important part of the path to mental fitness, and can take a protective role in maintaining wellbeing through increased feelings of happiness, security, belonging and self-worth. Being in the present moment is a great way to gain perspective, increase resilience, and reduces stress. Presence of mind (‘mindfulness’) – promoted by creative activities like cooking – has a range of benefits in building mental fitness including greater self-awareness, increased adaptability, and better recognising how and when to seek help.
