Are you interested in joining us for a series of A Taste of the World cooking classes? We are calling for expressions of interest from Sydney first responder families! These one hour online classes will introduce you to Italian, Indian and Chinese styles of cooking.
This small group cooking class will be a great opportunity to socialise and connect with others over a love of cooking and shared learning experience. Group cooking programs have been associated with a positive influence on a range of psychosocial factors including self-esteem, social interaction, quality or life, psychological wellbeing, and reduction in anxiety.
Participants can choose one, two or all three classes (submit your selections in the Registration form):
Class 1 – Nov 10th A Taste of Italy Fettuccine alla Puttanesca con Tonno. Learn how to make fettuccine from scratch. Participants need egg & butter, everything else provided
Class 2 – Nov 17th A Taste of India Tomato, Red Lentil and Potato Dahl with Basmati rice & make Garlic Roti from scratch - All ingredients delivered
Class 3 – Nov 24th A Taste of China Prawn, Shitake Mushroom and Baby Corn fried rice and Prawn Crackers – All ingredients delivered
Once you are confirmed to attend the class, BangPop will deliver the ingredients to your house on the morning of the class. That evening you’ll be invited to join a Zoom meeting via your smartphone, tablet or laptop where you’ll be guided through the cooking by BangPop’s chef.
Ingredients will be provided to cater for one person or two people, please let us know in the registration form. Allergans may be present: please contact us if you require details.
This activity is free for first responders (eligibility here) in the Sydney area and is suitable for adults and teenagers, of all levels of culinary expertise. You will need a reliable internet connection with a device capable of supporting Zoom video conferencing.
