Thai Cooking Class | Bega Valley
Join us for an interactive Thai Cooking Class ending with a delicious dinner, eating the food you make while connecting with each other. This cooking class is great way to build meaningful social connections with your partner or family member, as well as engaging with other first responders families. Coming together to learn new skills in a social environment helps strengthen your relationships and build resilience in families and communities. Learning new skills can offer you a challenge and, after the activity, a sense of accomplishment.
This cooking classes will create opportunities for you to share your new skills with friends and family members at home. Cooking in a group provides social interaction, and enjoying the meals afterwards creates an opportunity for conversation and connection over a shared experience. Preparing and eating home cooked meals made with fresh ingredients offers nutritional benefits. Cooking from scratch can also offer opportunities for mindfulness.
This free activity is for first responder families (eligibility here) with a limit of two people per registration form. All equipment and ingredients are provided.
Fortem is currently monitoring COVID guidelines closely and may reschedule this event and notify participants accordingly.
