Come and Try – Frontline Yoga | Virtual
Join us for a virtual yoga class specifically aimed at building the mental fitness of first responder families. Yoga is a great way to improve or maintain physical fitness and wellbeing. Physical activity can help to relive stress and tension . You can also develop closer family bonds by participating with your family. Family cohesion is important in building protective factors for mental health and wellbeing.
Frontline Yoga classes are trauma aware, culturally informed and suitable for anyone with chronic stress, depression, anxiety or PTS. Frontline Yoga has been supporting police and emergency services since 2016, with community classes that build resilience, strength, and social connection.
Participants just need mat or towel on carpet at home and some water. You will need a reliable internet connection with a device capable of supporting Zoom video conferencing. You will be sent a link when your registration is confirmed.
This activity is free for first responders (eligibility here). This yoga class is suitable for all ages and ability levels. Frontline Yoga teachers are experienced and capable of providing intelligent modifications to suit individual requirements.
