Weekly Walk in the Park | West Gippsland
Come along for a walk in the park to get some exercise, fresh air and meet some new people. It’s also a great way to learn more about Fortem Australia and what activities and services we provide. Come alone or bring the dog on a lead or children in strollers. Casual walkers are welcome or put it into your weekly exercise routine. The walks will be through some of our lovely local parks along walking tracks in either Drouin or Warragul.
Our walking group is a great way to connect and socialise with other local first responders, to boost your social well-being by broadening social networks and range of relationships with others in the wider community. Walking is also a great way of improving & maintaining physical health and relieving stress and tension for your mental health.
Bring your water, walking shoes, hats and sunscreen. The walks will take approximately an hour and the level of difficulty of the walks will be easy. This activity will still be held if the weather forecast is possible light rain, but cancelled if heavy rain or strong wind. The walk route will be nominated the week before, so email activities @fortemaustralia.org.au to find out where next week’s walk will be if you miss one week.
This activity is free for first responder families. Fortem is currently monitoring COVID guidelines closely and may reschedule this event and notify participants accordingly. Restrictions apply in line with current COVID regulations.
