West African Drumming Class | Canberra

Join us for a one hour West African Drumming Class followed by morning tea. Djembe is the classic West African drum that creates music with intensity, complexity and precision. In this workshop, we’ll start with the basics and build up to a polyrhythm before long.

Music therapy such as drumming circles is a valuable way to create connections, and sense of community. Drumming can be a mindful practice, and can help to achieve a sense of closeness among the group. This activity can also promote family bonds through positive shared experiences.

Numbers are strictly limited in line with COVID guidelines.  This activity is open to all emergency service and national security families.  Apply below.
