This activity has reached capacity. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to register your interest for future activities, or sign up to our monthly Fortem Connect newsletter to stay up to date with Fortem activities.
First responder families from the Gold Coast area, join us for an amazing family day at the Wildlife Sanctuary where you will have the option to be given a ‘Behind the Scenes’ tour of the Wildlife Sanctuary or participate in the Tree Tops Challenge, as well as explore the park and visit the animals. This activity is a great way to spend time with your family, be active, learn about the wildlife and develop family bonds. It’s also great to connect and socialise with other local first responder families. Developing close relationships and socialising with friends, family and others, is important for good health and wellbeing. Broadening your social networks and range of relationships with others in the wider community, is also important for your wellbeing.
Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Participants must be at least 160cm tall to complete the Tree Tops Challenge. Children under the age of 18 will need a parent or guardian to sign a consent form. Closed in shoes must be worn to complete the Tree Tops Challenge and long hair must be tied back.
This activity is free for first responder families. Lunch is provided. Suitable for all aged children when being registered as part of a family. This activity is weather dependent. Participants will be contacted if the activity needs to be rescheduled due to the weather. Fortem is currently monitoring COVID guidelines closely and may reschedule this event and notify participants accordingly.
This is a small group activity with limited numbers. Note registration is not confirmed until Fortem sends a confirmation email. Restrictions apply in line with current COVID regulations.
