World Mental Health Day – Family Day at the Beach | Gold Coast
Join us for a family day at the beach in Currumbin for kayaking, stand up paddleboarding and a BBQ lunch. A great way to connect with other local first responder families and develop closer relationships in your own family, plus you can get active and enjoy the Spring weather and salt air.
This Fortem activity can help maintain a healthy level of physical activity, which can assist with building wellness and resilience, coping with stress, and is positively associated with mental wellbeing. It can also contribute to development of close family relationships. Good personal relationships are protective for wellbeing.
This activity is free for first responder families. Whilst there is no minimum age requirement, children must be supervised. Lifejackets, Stand Up Paddle Boards, Kayaks, and a sausage sizzle lunch will be provided.
This activity is weather dependent. Participants will be contacted if lesson need to be rescheduled or change location due to the weather. Fortem is currently monitoring COVID guidelines closely and may reschedule this event and notify participants accordingly.
Activity limits apply so register now (note registration is not complete until confirmation has been received from the Fortem team).
