Expressions of Interest have now closed
Register an Expression of Interest now to attend the Fortem Back to Broulee program – a short holiday for those first-responders and their families involved in the response to the 2019/20 south coast bushfires.
Fortem Australia is offering this opportunity for a short holiday for 10 families of first-responders and emergency response personnel who were separated over the 2019/20 holiday period as a result of responding to the south coast bushfires. The relevant first-responders includes volunteer or paid personnel from Fire & Rescue NSW, NSW RFS, NSW SES, ACT Emergency Services Agency including SES and RFS, ACT Police, NSW Police, NSW Ambulance.
This event will be held in the second week of the school holidays, commencing 19th April 2020.
Location: Broulee, NSW
Eligibility: First responder personnel (including Ambulance, Police, Fire & Rescue, SES, RFS) involved in the response to south coast bushfires (includes paid and volunteers services), plus their families.
Any restrictions around attendance: Please note that families with young children are welcome, however some of the funded activities are not suitable for children under the age of 8 years. Families must be able to make their own way to Broulee, NSW.
- 4 nights accommodation in cabin-style accommodation at Broulee
- Some funded local activities and group meals

- Community day with Surfing Australia including surfing lessons for children & adults (minimum age 8 years for the children’s lessons)
While Fortem Australia is covering the cost of the inclusions mentioned above, families will have plenty of free time so any other meals, shopping, or activities will be at your own cost. There are many free and low cost local options that you will able to enjoy.
Note travel to Broulee, NSW is at own cost.
