With 20 years’ service behind her, Rebecca Marshall is a current serving member of the Victorian Police at the rank of Inspector. An innovative and inspiring leader, she has led some of the most complex units in the force including intricate large-scale operations, stakeholder negotiations, and has partnered with senior members through interagency collaborations to deliver quality outcomes.

She is an advocate for health, safety and wellbeing, is an active mentor, and has a passion for leadership and quality improvement. Rebecca is a driver of change and innovation, and works on the principle that innovation is fun, exciting, and helps people find a new purpose allowing them to see the value of their contribution as an individual and toward an organisation.

As a self-confessed high achiever, Rebecca believes we all find ourselves at a fork in the road moment. Hers was being diagnosed with PTSD, and through her own journey, she found strategies that have supported her to regain her confidence and full capacity in her work, and life. It is this message that drives her passion and focus to normalise the diagnosis, acknowledge we are all human, and encourage members to connect with the supports available. This is her driving force for being a proud Ambassador for Fortem Australia.

When she is not working, she is spending quality time with her two young daughters and fulfilling a very important role in her life as a Community Leader coaching youth football.
