TRANSITION & EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM

 

Starting 1 July, 2021, phase one of our national program will focus on supporting transitioning members from Australia’s national security agencies, including:

  • Australian Border Force
  • Australian Federal Police
  • State-based law enforcement agencies

Phase two, will support all national security agencies, and ALL state based first responders and their families.

We are currently working towards rolling out this part of our program during the second half of 2021.

TRANSITION SUPPORT

Before you transition out of service, it’s a good idea to makes plans for your new life.

Transition support may include:

  • Planning for life after service with a Transition Engagement Officer
  • Advice and support for you and your family about moving into your post service life

EMPLOYMENT SUPPORT

One-on-one support across a range of pre-employment and post-employment services.

Pre-employment assistance may include:

  • Develop/review civilian career goals
  • Job search skills – including skills translation

EDUCATION - RESKILLING - UPSKILLING

Fortem Australia staff will provide first responders and their family members with opportunities and support in:

  • Recognition of any prior learning
  • Connections and introductions with world class education providers
  • Opportunities to learn
