SUMMARY:Christmas Lights Walk with a difference | Photography | Art Kit
DESCRIPTION:Christmas Light walk with a difference! \nWhat better way to spend a week night than with a lovely walk through Perth’s Christmas light trail but using photography to see it in a way we’ve never seen before. \nDid you know letters are everywhere hiding in plain sight and we can use our cameras to find them! We will take a guided walk through the city to admire the Christmas lights but not only as whole. Challenge yourself to find the hidden letters within. Maybe you look for the letters in your name or the name of a loved one (perfect Christmas present!). Some will be easy to find\, some not so. With those hard to find letters I will also teach you a trick to create them using the lights to your advantage. At the end of the walk we can review some of the exciting finds on our journey! \nThis free wellbeing activity is for first responder families (check out who we serve). Register yourself\, and up to one other adult and up to two children.  \nAll Fortem Wellbeing Activities are underpinned by the 5 Ways to Wellbeing. SUMMARY:The Best Caribbean Fish RUNDOWN Cooked in Coconut Milk | Virtual Cooking Class
DESCRIPTION:Join us in Fortem’s newly created Street Food cooking classes\, with the aim to build and develop new experiences and skills in cooking different cultural dishes from around the world. \nMackerel rundown is a classic Jamaican dish featuring salted or pickled mackerel and a thick sauce made with coconut milk that has been boiled with various seasonings until it turns into a custard. The sauce is often seasoned with garlic\, black pepper\, scotch bonnet peppers\, scallions\, and thyme. \nThis dish is often consumed for breakfast or brunch\, when it is accompanied by green bananas\, festival\, bammy\, or roasted breadfruit. Its other name\, dip and fall back is said to have been derived from the fact that the dish was often served in a bowl which was placed in the middle of the table\, so each consumer would dip the side dishes in it\, then fall back in order to allow other consumers to dip. \nStreet Food is delicious\, comforting\, and new to our dinner cooking class series. This virtual class series has been designed to give participants and their families the opportunity to come together in a one-off class or to join them all. You will get to learn how to cook a delicious street food to eat for the evening dinner alongside other first responders and their families. \nParticipants to provide own ingredients\, the recipe will be shared once registered. \n*PLEASE NOTE: this activity runs at 5pm +8GMT PERTH WA TIME All year round* \nImportant note: \nThis online activity is accessed via Teams or Zoom. There is no need to download any software as Zoom can be accessed through most internet browsers. \nTo participate\, you will need: \nPC\, laptop\, tablet or smartphone with video calling capabilities. Internet connection capable of sustaining an online video call \nPlease note\, data usage charges may apply depending on your connection plan.
