We spend so much time on the roads, so we are incredibly lucky that there are many first responders ready to help us if we need it. And when the lights and sirens flash and sound, we know to pull over.
Today is Day 3 of Fortem’s 10 days of gratitude – a day to say thank you to all the first responders who respond on the roads.
The 10 days of gratitude is a celebration of all that first responders do to support our communities ahead of Thank a First Responder Day on Wednesday 11 June.
Now in its sixth year, Thank a First Responder Day creates a clear and resounding voice of gratitude for the frontline workers and volunteers who do so much, often for very little thanks or recognition. It was created by Fortem Australia, the nation’s leading independent and not-for-profit organisation supporting the mental health and wellbeing of first responders and their families. First responders are out on the road day and night, and rain, hail or shine. They areenforcing the road rules, responding to road incidents, or on their way to help someone in need.
To all the first responders on the road today, we say thank you. And to the families of first responders waiting for their loved ones to come home at the end of their shift, to you, too, we say thank you.
Don’t forget to share your love for all first responders and their families do with our Triple Zero with Heart symbol 0❤️0. Draw it on your hand, snap a photo and share it on social media during the 10 days of gratitude. Let’s get the whole country involved in showing our gratitude! #ThankAFirstResponder #PowerOfThanks #TAFRD
You can also leave a message of gratitude on the Thank a First Responder Day website at Gratitude Gallery – Fortem Australia.
