Thank a First Responder family fun day made possible thanks to council grant

Fortem Australia extends its heartfelt thanks to Australia Zoo and the Irwin family for their support of first responders and their families this Thank a First Responder Day.
Thank a First Responder Day will be held on Wednesday 11 June 2025 and provides an opportunity for the community to say thank you to first responders and their families.
Australia Zoo is again partnering with Fortem Australia this year for a special thank you event for 300 first responders and family members, one of numerous events to be held around the country to say thank you to those people who do so much to support our community in our times of need.
Australia Zoo has also thrown its support behind Fortem’s promotional activities for Thank a First Responder Day. Several first responders recently had the opportunity to meet some slithery and feathery friends at the zoo for a promotional photo shoot which will form part of Fortem’s social media campaign.
“We are incredibly grateful to Australia Zoo for their ongoing support of first responders and their families, and helping to make Thank a First Responder Day a success,” Fortem CEO Michael Willing APM said.
