Eurobodalla Shire Council backs Thank a First Responder Day at Mogo Wildlife Park

First responders and their families in the Eurobodalla region are invited to step away from the demands of the job and enjoy a well-deserved day of connection and appreciation at Mogo Wildlife Park this June.

As part of the national Thank a First Responder Day celebrations on Wednesday 10 June 2026, Fortem Australia will host ‘A Day of Thanks at Mogo Wildlife Park’, bringing local first responder families together for a relaxed day surrounded by nature and community support.

The event has been made possible with the support of Eurobodalla Shire Council, which has awarded Fortem a $2,000 Community Events Grant to help deliver the day and recognise the contribution of local emergency service personnel.

Fortem Australia Community Engagement Officer Jacqueline Smith said the event is a chance for the community to show their appreciation in a meaningful way.

‘Our first responders spend their careers supporting others through some of life’s most difficult moments. Thank a First Responder Day is about pausing to recognise that service and creating opportunities for them and their families to feel supported by the community,’ Jacqueline said.

‘We’re incredibly grateful to Eurobodalla Shire Council for backing this event and helping us create a space where first responder families can come together, relax and feel valued.’

The event is open to local first responders and their families, offering a chance to connect with others who understand the unique pressures of the job while enjoying one of the region’s most loved attractions.

Fortem Australia extends its sincere thanks to Eurobodalla Shire Council for standing behind the first responder community and supporting Thank a First Responder Day in the Eurobodalla region.
