Australia stands with our first responders

At Fortem, we spend our days doing something pretty important, supporting the mental health and wellbeing of first responders and their families. It’s what we’re here for. It’s where our resources go.

So, when the idea came up to create a song for Thank a First Responder Day, our creative Community Engagement team got to work… and came up with something a little unexpected.

Instead of heading straight to a studio, they thought, what if we tried something different?

Enter: AI.

We figured, why not call in a very modern kind of backup to help bring this idea to life? So we asked AI to help write a song that captures what this day is all about: showing up, standing together, and saying thank you.

And surprisingly… it delivered.

Not because AI understands what it’s like to be a first responder (it definitely doesn’t).

But because it helped us put words to something very human, gratitude.

That’s how ‘Stand with You’ came to life—a simple message that Australia stands with our first responders, today and every day.

Because that’s what Thank a First Responder Day is all about. A national moment where communities, schools, families, and workplaces come together to say a simple but powerful ‘thank you’ to the people who are always there when we need them most.

The song is just one small way to share that message, and now we want to see it go far and wide.
