Fortem Australia Named Fujitsu Australia’s Charity Partner for 2024 ISPS HANDA Australian Open Golf Tournament.

Fortem Australia is excited to announce its selection as Fujitsu Australia’s official charity partner for the 2024 ISPS HANDA Australian Open Golf Tournament, taking place from November 28 to December 1, 2024.

This partnership underscores Fujitsu’s ongoing dedication to supporting the mental health and wellbeing of Australia’s first responders through the vital work of Fortem Australia.

Fortem Australia is the nation’s leading not-for-profit organisation focused on providing support to first responders and their families. The organisation offers essential services such as social connection activities, psychological counselling, and strategic career management programs aimed at enhancing resilience and social connection.

As Fujitsu Australia’s charity partner, first responders and their families will have the opportunity to attend the tournament and witness some of the world’s top golfers in action. Additionally, four lucky first responders will get the unique chance to walk the course with a professional golfer and their caddy, offering an exclusive behind-the-scenes experience.

This partnership will also provide Fortem with increased visibility and the chance to raise funds to further support first responders during one of Australia’s premier sporting events.

Dave Lennon, Head of Industry Sales, Fujitsu Australia Limited said “I am deeply honoured to support those who dedicate their lives to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our communities. At Fujitsu, we are committed to delivering transformational innovation that aids public safety agencies across Australia and New Zealand. Our collaboration with Fortem is a testament to this commitment. This program not only raises awareness but also generates crucial funds to provide essential services, ultimately improving the lives of many. It’s a unique opportunity to make a tangible difference, and we are proud to be a part of it.”

Mick Willing APM, CEO of Fortem Australia, also shared his excitement about the partnership, saying, “We’re thrilled to be working alongside Fujitsu Australia. Their support will enable us to extend our reach and services to more first responders and their families. This collaboration highlights the importance of caring for the mental health of those who dedicate their lives to protecting and supporting others.”

The 2024 ISPS HANDA Australian Open will feature some of the world’s best golfers, with men’s, women’s, and all abilities competitions held at Kingston Heath and Victoria golf clubs in Melbourne. With a large national and international audience, the tournament will provide an excellent platform for Fortem Australia to raise awareness of its mission and generate financial support for its programs.
