Work on Australia’s first dedicated wellbeing hub for first responders and their families is progressing well, with the doors ready to open soon.
Located in Victoria Park, Western Australia, the Fortem Wellbeing Hub will provide a range of in-person and virtual facilities for clinical, social connection, career management and health and fitness services for first responders and their families.
The fit-out of the hub is now complete with a range of indoor and outdoor spaces, and the finishing touches are now being put in place.
Local first responders and their families will be able to take a sneak peek from next week ahead of the doors officially opening.
Fortem CEO Mick Willing APM said the hub would help boost the mental health and wellbeing services available to first responders and their families in WA, while also expanding our virtual reach to those located elsewhere in the country.
“This tremendous facility will increase Fortem’s service offering, and we hope it will become a blueprint for similar hubs to be delivered around the country,” he said.
“I would like to thank the generous donors who have made the hub a reality, in particular, Mark Iriks who has been the major contributor to the project.”
