The Fortem Wellbeing Hub in Western Australia is now open, and hundreds of first responders and their families have already visited to see what’s on offer.
Made possible through the generosity of Perth businessman Mark Iriks, the hub is the first dedicated wellbeing facility for serving and former first responders and their families, with a range of in-person and virtual services and programs. That includes in-person and virtual social connection activities which commenced in early April.
As well as providing access to social connection, clinical, career management and a range of health and fitness services, the hub also provides a range of safe and friendly indoor and outdoor spaces that first responders and their families can meet and spend time together, or spend time on their own.
The hub also enhances Fortem’s outreach program, with modern audio-visual equipment that provides virtual access to first responders and their families right across the country, including those in regional and remote Australia. As well as virtual social connection activities, Fortem will provide a range of interactive workshops and mental health programs.
