Fortem announces new Board and Advisory Board members

Fortem is delighted to welcome two new members to its Advisory Board and Board.

Deputy Commissioner Tracy Linford from the Queensland Police Service has joined Fortem’s Advisory Board as Chair, while Philippa (Pip) Byrnes, the Head of Marketing, Oceania for Fujitsu, is Fortem’s newest Board member.

Tracy is responsible for the Crime, Counter Terrorism and Specialist Operations portfolio of the Queensland Police Service, overseeing the delivery of expert specialist and investigative support, and strategy direction in the areas of organised crime, counter-terrorism, youth justice, ethical standards, intelligence and specialist operations.

Prior to this she was the Deputy Commissioner overseeing the Strategy, Policy and Performance portfolio, which followed 31 years working in Victoria Police.

Pip is a senior marketing and business leader with over 20 years of experience driving strategic transformation across the technology and services sectors, including her role at Fujitsu where she leads initiatives that connect complex technology solutions to real-world outcomes across public sector, defence, healthcare, and enterprise.

Known for her collaborative leadership and strong stakeholder engagement, Pip brings deep expertise in navigating large organisations, managing cross-functional teams, and building partnerships that deliver lasting impact.

Fortem CEO Michael Willing APM welcomed both Tracy and Pip to their new roles.

“Our Board and Advisory Board members generously donate their time to assist with the direction of Fortem, and we are incredibly grateful for their support,” Mr Willing said.

“The knowledge, expertise and experience Tracy and Pip bring to their roles is invaluable to Fortem’s work supporting first responders and their families.”
